Box Newels
Box newels have increased in popularity over recent years, as their square, clean lines and presence in any hallway make a grand, imposing style statement.
Historically they were hollow, because homeowners would place house plans and deeds safe inside before the newel was capped, upon completion of a new house.
Our box newels are solid, usually have a width of 115mm at their largest point, and length between 1500mm to 2400mm. Depending on the style of design chosen, we may add decorative mouldings to create the typical features associated with this style. Top caps can also be made to compliment the design.
We offer plain, fluted and panelled box newels and half box newels as standard, in our standard range of timbers
